Becoming a Fundraiser allows you to create a goal for multiple donors to apply their donations to. Additionally, you can create Fundraising Teams to allow multiple Fundraisers to apply their Donations towards a common goal.

The process of becoming a fundraiser is very straightforward and begins with you entering in "Your Fundraiser Name". By default, fundraiser names auto-fill to be your name if logged in, because you are the fundraiser.

IMPORTANT: "Your Fundraiser Name" is not a "Fundraising Team Name". "Fundraising Teams" are groupings of "Fundraisers" working towards a collective goal, which is why the norm for "Fundraiser Names" is usually your name.

You can become a Fundraiser during the ride registration process.

Step by Step:

1. Begin your registration here
2. Enter your basic information and select the distance you want to complete
3. Agree to the waiver
4. Answer a few more questions, including t-shirt size and emergency contact info
5. On the next screen, "Donations," tap "Become a Fundraiser"
6. Fill in the details for your fundraiser campaign, including goal, cause(s) that you will raise for, etc
7. Complete your registration
8. Start sharing your fundraiser via your unique link to friends and family!

If you have already registered for the ride without creating a fundraiser but would like to create one, then you can do so after registration by going to your Profile page, clicking on My Registered Races, and then selecting "Manage Registration". On the "Manage Registration" page, you can set up your fundraiser by going to the tab labeled "Fundraiser".

Step by Step:

1. Sign In to Medford Ride For A Cause
2. Go to your Profile
3. Click My Registered Races
4. Click Manage next to the registration to Manage
5. Click Fundraiser in the top navigation bar
6. On the next page you will see a "Become a Fundraiser" section with fields to fill in
7. Fill in each of these fields and then save your fundraiser
8. Start sharing your fundraiser via your unique link to friends and family!
